china and us automakers economic discussion and case study

China and US Automakers; Economic Discussion and Case StudyWriten by Lance Winslow

Many complain about the number of Chinese goods coming to America and the growing trade deficit and they should be concerned, but is it Chinas fault or our own mismanagement and regulatory bureaucracy causing it? Who says America cannot compete in the World Market with China with a level playing field? Anyone who says that is completely ignorant of the incredible level of intellect, spirit and risk reward scenarios, which have made this country so great.

There is a clear and definite reason why America is at the top of the food chain and none of it has to do with lawyers, podium pushing lobbyist beholding politicians or the debris of bureaucrats causing all this incessant over regulation? It is as if we have our own dirt under the carpet, spiders in the closet and Al Queda Jihadists in disguise attacking all we are and all we have built right here home grown. What a mess indeed.

Regarding China, well the writing was on the wall, as the World Financiers poured investment into that nation and they want their ROI. And with 1.3 Billion people there, indeed it has a lot of room to grow and an ROI they will. If GM and Ford do not move to invest in China they will lose future sales to Audi/Volkswagen and others and the potential to sell cars there to 1.3 Billion people far surpasses anything that we are doing here; IE 17.1 million, 16.8 million and 16.9 million cars sold here. So far the US Automakers are making a foothold in China, but it takes time.

Many say that there are cities in china now with nearly a million people in them that did not even exist a decade ago and their only reason for existence is to sell America goods. I agree that China is growing in many provinces especially some of the Southern Provinces with Industrial Driven economies, whose sole purpose is to sell goods to the Western World. Also they are going thru growing pains, such as environmental issues, shortage of power and energy issues, oil shortages and they will have their industrial revolution, civilizations always do. Human workers and slaves will only go so far until they revolt, human history proves that. Robots do not revolt of course and we are learning that as well. Think on this in 2006.
