solution to the us automaker crisis

Solution to the US Automaker CrisisWriten by Lance Winslow

The US automakers have lost market share to Japanese auto makers. Many believe that General Motors and the Ford Motor Company are having a severe problem trying to compete. Japanese automakers have many cars to get very good gas mileage and each time the gasoline prices rise the Japanese automakers pick up market share. In 2005 Japanese automakers picked up a 5% market share advantage over their US competitors.

There is an answer to the problem of US automakers losing market share to Japanese automakers. The solution is to make the old body styles, which were very famous previously and put these car bodies onto four-cylinder economy chassis or even E85 Ethanol enabled vehicles or Flex Fuel Vehicles. Perhaps even putting these old style popular body styles on to hybrid chassis.

This will allow the consumer to have their most favorite type of automobile of all time on a chassis, which gives excellent gas mileage. In doing so the US automakers will in fact solve two problems. One, they will re-achieve their once hard fought market share and increased sales. Also, they will help America of break her addiction to Middle Eastern foreign oil and if that is a good thing. Please consider all this in 2006.
